Fiona is a lived experience advocate who was born and raised surrounded by the beautiful mountains, forests and lakes of Western Canada. She recently graduated high school and is hoping to study Early Childhood Education and childhood development to pursue higher education in Child Life and Psychosocial care.
After being diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses, Fiona began to experience poor mental health. This combination made it difficult for her to find the appropriate resources, leading her to become a speaker with jack.org, a Canadian charity working to empower young advocates to break the stigma of mental illness. Due to her own experiences, Fiona is passionate about creating inclusive and holistic mental health systems.
