Jeanti lives on Sydney’s North Shore. She works part time as a receptionist at a medical centre, however most of her week is devoted to her studies at the University of Technology (UTS) Sydney where she is completing a Bachelor of Advanced Science, majoring in pre-med. Her goal is to get into medicine and become a doctor.
Jeanti is passionate about creating a voice for anyone who has experienced mental ill-health, especially those who have experienced psychosis. She sees great importance in a holistic approach to mental health and feels strongly about fostering team-based care. Jeanti envisions a world where people can talk freely about their mental health and be understood and respected.
In the past Jeanti has been an ambassador for the Kuring-gai Youth Development Service and has been a member of the UTS executive for batyr. She has completed her telephone crisis supporter training with Lifeline. Jeanti is extremely excited about her role on Orygen’s Youth Research Council and is keen to make a difference over her time on the council.
