    Josh is based in Melbourne and is studying a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Monash University. He is also completing an honours thesis exploring the genetic basis of schizophrenia and works part-time in clinical trials as a unit assistant.  

    Josh has a passion for psychiatry and mental health and the way it impacts on all members of society. Through his work, he hopes to reduce the stigma that prevents Australians from seeking mental health support. He is particularly interested in promoting LGBTQI+ equality and increasing understanding of sexual and gender diversity in Australia. Currently, Josh is involved in an LGBTQI+ support service and communicates regularly with members of the community. He hopes to use his lived experience and training to influence mental health policy and contribute towards social change in Australia.

    In his free time, Josh is interested in philosophy, music and analogue photography. He also enjoys swimming and long-distance running.
