Bridget is passionate about early detection in mental ill health and good support services helping youth in the early stages of them experiencing symptoms, to help prevent on going mental ill health into their adulthood and quicker recovery.
To support this, Bridget volunteers for like-minded organisations such as Butterfly Foundation, Beyond Blue Headspace, Sane Australia and Black Dog Institute.
Bridget also took the stage at Orygen’s fundraiser, Hats for Hope in 2016 to speak warmly and honestly about her lived experience with mental ill-health and how recovery is possible.
A firm believer in the importance of suicide prevention research, Bridget understands that research is key in ensuring better mental health outcomes. Currently, Bridget works with children and interests include photography, reading and embroidery.
