Emily lives in Melbourne’s north and is very passionate about mental health, social justice and helping people. Currently completing a Bachelor of Arts in Community Development, Emily endeavours to find a job working within the community services sector once she has completed her course.
Emily hopes to bring her lived experience with mental health issues, and passion to share her experiences to the ‘Live It, Speak It’ program in order to reduce stigma around mental ill-health and raise awareness. She feels that if she can make even one, small positive change in the world, then all the effort, hard work and sometimes tears are worth it.
When Emily isn’t volunteering on different youth committees, she can be found op-shopping, cross-stitching or looking after her two dogs.
