Rebecca Langman is an artist and aspiring future psychologist from South Australia with a lived experience of mental illness. She has a Bachelor of Media Arts (Performing Arts) is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Psychological Science with a focus on counselling and adventure therapy. Rebecca has also volunteered with the South Australia Mobilisation and Empowerment for Sexual Health (SAMESH) and Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience as a mentor.
Rebecca has worked as a performer throughout Adelaide and has toured her autobiographical works on mental ill-health to Crack Theatre Festival in NSW. Her debut directorial work, ‘Calamity’, a story of the impact of sexual assault in rural towns, was performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2016 to 5-star reviews.
She hopes to complete a Masters in Psychology to be a clinical psychologist and open an accessible private practice with a feminist ethos.
