Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health works in partnership with The University of Melbourne to offer higher education for professionals who work with young people experiencing mental ill-health.
Through our partnership we offer graduate courses that are informed by the latest evidence and are taught by world leading researchers and clinicians. These qualifications are designed to equip professionals with enhanced skills and knowledge in youth mental health to better enable them to work with young people experiencing mental ill-health.
The courses currently offered are the Master of Youth Mental Health (3 years part time) with the Graduate Certificate in Youth Mental Health (1 year part time) and the Graduate Diploma in Youth Mental Health (2 years part time) available as exit points. Two specialist courses are also on offer: the Graduate Certificate in Managing Youth Self-Harm and Suicide (1 year part time), and the Graduate Certificate in Managing Early Psychosis (1 year part time).
