Protecting the mental health of young workers

Protecting the mental health of young workers

With one in four young Australians experiencing mental health problems at any given time, positive mental health should be top of every employer's mind. Orygen’s National Vocational Services Manager, Gina Chinnery recently presented at the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industries’ forum which focused on ‘Protecting the mental health of young workers’ where she highlighted the success of our vocational projects including our involvement in Victorian State Government’s Jobs Victoria Employment Network (JVEN) and also our Youth Online Training and Employment System (YOTES) currently in development.

Orygen’s youth peer worker, Bridget O’Bree, also spoke at the forum about her own experiences of mental ill-health and work.
