Orygen researchers among world’s most influential scientific minds

Thomson Reuters has released a list of the World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds for 2014 and Orygen is proud to see two of our staff, our Executive Director Prof Patrick McGorry AO and Prof Alison Yung recognised in the list, along with our close collaborator Prof Christos Pantelis.

The report analysed academic citations to identify influential scientific researchers across a range of disciplines.

Basil Moftah, President, Thomson Reuters IP & Sciences says, ‘Science and innovation are strong drivers of the future – and these people are making that future come to life. The global nature of the study highlights the countries, institutions and researchers on the cutting edge of science. It’s our mission at Thomson Reuters to support these individuals as they advance innovation globally.

The recognition of Prof McGorry, Prof Yung and Prof Pantelis is a great endorsement of the impact of Orygen’s research and the global importance of mental health research in Australia.
