To celebrate the incredible contributions of young people to the work of Orygen, members of the Youth Advisory & Youth Research Councils are planning a Youth Takeover Day on Friday 31st March 2017.
This day will see a range of activities and events across the organisation that place young people in decision-making positions across the organisation. This event will also celebrate the fantastic work of our current Youth Advisory & Youth Research Council members as it aligns with the final face-to-face meeting of their term.
Young people from a number of Orygen’s Youth Participation and Engagement Programs will be taking over our social media pages, chairing meetings, our regular Research Presentation, delivering training workshops and partnering with staff on key projects amongst other things. Young people will have the opportunity to gain an insight into the inner workings of Orygen, and we as an organisation will benefit from fresh perspectives on our work.
