ABOUT OUR BRIEF INTERVETION TRAINING OPTIONS

Team 'whole of service' training packages

This training package is delivered to clinicians on-site or virtually and provides  unique experiential learning. Clinicians will develop skills to deliver the toolkit in practice and implement it in their organisation.

The training is targeted at mental health clinicians, student clinicians under supervision and service leads.

Overview of training:

  • introduction and overview of BIT
  • example of modules
  • screening and measuring outcomes in BIT
  • implementing BIT in practice.

Length of training: one day, which is suitable for virtual or face-to-face delivery.

Online and in-person BIT training sessions

Orygen is excited to offer training for individual professionals (mental health clinicians, psychologists, social workers, OT’s, youth workers, GPs, practice nurse and secondary school nurses, etc.) looking to upskill in the Brief Intervention Toolkit.

The one-day training will cover:

  • introduction and overview of BIT
  • screening and measuring outcomes in BIT
  • using modules in practice, and
  • scaffolding modules and using them flexibly.
