Wanwisa

Despite being a novice in the field, I am passionate about learning and contributing. As a former psychology undergraduate and volunteer advocate for gender-based violence and social justice, I am dedicated to promoting alternative psychology and integrating intersectionality into psychological practices across Thailand. Having experienced the consequences of non-inclusive practices firsthand, I am committed to contributing to discussions on decolonising psychology and advocating for necessary curriculum changes in local psychology schools. My aim is to support ongoing efforts towards more inclusive progress in Thailand's psychological field.

My project, Minding the Crossroad, aims to host a collaborative workshop focused on raising awareness about intersectionality among individuals in psychological fields, including professionals and students, in Thailand. The workshop seeks to share knowledge and provide a platform for discussing mainstream psychology as it is taught and practiced in Thailand. Our long-term goal is to cultivate a community of alternative psychology advocates, potentially expanding to include seminars and other events.
