WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE EXPERIENCING MENTAL ILL-HEALTH 

This online training package will build your understanding of the experiences of young people with mental ill-health and how to establish respectful relationships. You will also learn to work inclusively with diverse young people, maintaining safety and ethical practice. Over the course of three topics, you will learn to: 

  • Identify issues that young people experience and use recovery-oriented language and practice. 

  • Practise culturally-informed and respectful engagement with multicultural young people, First Nations young people, neurodivergent young people and LGBTQIA+ young people. 

  • Respond to the impacts of trauma using the principles of trauma-informed care.
