From 25 July young people and their families will be able to access essential items like clothes and food through a new program; Orygen Assist.
Visitors to Orygen’s Parkville site can visit the Orygen Assist “pop-up” near reception – or speak to one of our staff or a clinician who can help.
The program’s coordinator Rhiannon Matthews said the idea for the initiative came from a mental health service in Canada.
“The service had a small amount of supplies where young people and families could go for essentials – ensuring dignity with judgement free access.”
Orygen Assist is supported with thanks to Food Bank, Pinchapoo and Thread Together.
