7 October 2025

Friends, families and supporters gathered for the 2025 Stepping out for Youth Mental Health, a community fundraising event created by the James Marcon Youth Health Committee in memory of James Marcon to support art therapy programs across Orygen’s five headspace centres.

Held at Princes Park in Carlton, this year’s event helped to raise over $17,000, directly funding these vital programs, which offer young people a creative and meaningful way to connect, express themselves, and access support beyond traditional one-on-one therapy.

Orygen extends sincere thanks to the James Marcon Youth Health Committee, the driving force behind this annual event, and to the teams at headspace Glenroy, headspace Werribee, headspace Craigieburn, headspace Sunshine and headspace Melton for their ongoing dedication to youth mental health, along with everyone who supported the cause along the way.
