Orygen International Visitor Program

ORYGEN INTERNATIONAL VISITOR PROGRAM

Orygen Global offers an opportunity for people who are engaged in work in the youth mental health field to participate in the Orygen International Visitor Program where the focus is on learning about Orygen’s wide range of programs and research.

As Australia’s designated Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health, Orygen is the largest translational mental health research organisation in Australia and the largest clinical research organisation focused on youth mental health in the world. Orygen also works in the areas of advocacy and policy, government relations, digital mental health, education and training, youth participation and engagement and supporting the development of a peer workforce.  

The program has capacity to cover the following areas of interest: Orygen’s wide-ranging research and clinical programs, employment and education programs, graduate education, peer support and lived experience, youth participation, policy and government relations, First Nations, knowledge translation, workforce service development, and global programs.

The program aims to:

• Provide individuals working in the youth mental health field with a broad understanding of Orygen’s work.
• Support individuals in learning about programs and research in youth mental health that can be utilised in their own context and culture.
• Forge strong international links and assist in the development of youth mental health programs globally.
• Foster collegiate exchanges, with the capacity for international visitors participating in the Program to also learn from one another.

The next program will run from Tuesday 6 to Thursday 15 October 2026.
