Katie

Katie is a young blind woman from Vietnam, holding a dual degree in Psychology and Vietnam Studies from Fulbright University, Vietnam. Her current research focuses on the mental health of people with disabilities in Vietnam, particularly the impact of social and internalised stigma and their coping mechanisms. Katie is also the co-founder of two social initiatives: The VIP Companion and MY Spa – Massage Therapy. The VIP Companion supports blind youth in developing soft skills such as self-awareness, disability acceptance and basic digital tools like AI literacy and interview techniques. My Spa is a social enterprise employing 13 blind therapists in a professional, inclusive working environment.
