Pravneil is a Pacific mental health practitioner, humanitarian leader and community advocate based in Fiji. He currently serves as the Pacific Humanitarian and Resilience Manager at Plan International, leading Humanitarian and climate resilience programs across Fiji, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, with a strong focus on integrating mental health and psychosocial support into humanitarian response.

His professional background spans allied health, community development and inclusion in sports, including work as a psychologist and program coordinator supporting family-centred therapy and parents of children with autism.

He is the Co-founder of Chai & Chat, a community-led safe space that promotes mental health dialogue, peer support and empowerment among queer and Indo-Fijian communities in Fiji. This initiative reflects his commitment to inclusive, culturally grounded mental health care.

Beyond Fiji, Pravneil mentors emerging leaders through the U.S. Government’s Community Engagement Exchange Program and has supported inclusive education and autism initiatives in the Philippines and India. His work is driven by a belief in locally led, youth-centred solutions that place dignity, care and belonging at the heart of mental health systems.
