Rifli is a mental health advocate and content creator based in Indonesia and a talent at JiwaJiwa – Menjadi Manusia, a prominent platform for mental health awareness in Indonesia with over 1.3 million followers.

His journey in mental health advocacy began after the 2018 Palu natural disaster, a critical turning point in his life when he lost his mother due to the earthquake. This profound loss marked the start of his grieving process and experience with depression, shaping his long-term commitment to mental health awareness. Through this lens, he critically reflects on productivity, emphasising how trauma and depression significantly influence a person’s capacity to function and thrive.

Rifli’s advocacy has been shared on broader platforms, including as a TEDx Speaker at Universitas Negeri Makassar where he delivered a talk titled Lessons Learned as a Survivor of the Palu Earthquake

Beyond digital advocacy, Rifli has extensive grassroots experience as a former General Leader and Facilitator of the Children’s Forum in Palu, Central Sulawesi. In this role, he advocated against sexual violence and bullying across 12 regencies and one city in the province. He is also a contributing writer to the poetry anthology With the Margins, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting orphans in Indonesia.
