Zahif is a queer Muslim Law and Psychology graduate from the University of the South Pacific. Born and based in Fiji, his work centres on youth mental health, human rights and LGBTQIA+ inclusion in Pacific communities. Grounded in lived experience, his advocacy is shaped by navigating faith, culture and queerness within the Pacific context. He currently serves as a Divisional Co-ordinator for community-led HIV prevention at Rainbow Pride Foundation, supporting peer-led outreach, training and rights-based services for LGBTQIA+ and key populations.

Zahif also contributes to regional and global youth spaces, including as a Youth Planning Committee Member for the Women Deliver 2026 Conference and a Regional Young People’s Action Team representative with UNICEF East Asia and Pacific.

Alongside advocacy, Zahif is a media practitioner and storyteller, using radio, film and digital platforms to elevate Pacific queer voices and challenge stigma around mental health, sexuality and identity. He is committed to advancing culturally grounded, community-led youth mental health leadership that honours Pacific values while creating safer, more inclusive futures.
