Zen is a youth mental health counsellor who advocates for culturally-grounded mental health support for Myanmar youth living in displacement and migration.

He is currently based in Bangkok and works across borders through community-based and digital mental health initiatives. Zen began his career as a family doctor with a focus on palliative care, he witnessed how emotional and psychological suffering often goes unaddressed in crisis settings. This led him to transition into psychology and community-based mental health work.

Zen holds a Diploma in Applied Psychology and has completed specialised training in counselling, suicide prevention, grief counselling, telephone counselling and clinical trauma. Alongside his clinical work, he facilitates psychoeducation, emotional wellbeing workshops, resilience-building programs and trauma-healing play sessions for children, youth and adults affected by trauma, loss and displacement.

He is the founder of Dr.Zen's Healing Compass, a mental health education platform focused on prevention, emotional literacy and youth resilience. His advocacy centres on making mental health support accessible, culturally responsive and safe for young people navigating crisis, migration and invisible loss.
