Anne Murphy Cruise 

Anne Murphy Cruise is the lead capital markets lawyer with Macquarie Capital for ANZ. 

Anne has more than 20 years of experience in legal practice, both in private practice at King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) and as in-house counsel at Macquarie Capital. She has advised on material capital raisings for a variety of clients across all sectors, including primary and secondary offers. 

Anne has been a director on the board of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra since 2022 and was a director on the board of headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation from 2016 to 2025. 

Anne is also the deputy chair of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and is the co-chair of the ECM Legal Committee of AFMA. 

Anne is chair of the Macquarie Group Pride Employee Network, is a member of the National Executive of LGBTQ Allies Forum and is a member of the Macquarie Group Art Committee. She actively promotes LGBTIQ+ rights and diversity in the workforce. 

Before commencing her career in the law, Anne was a senior foreign language teacher in Victorian schools, teaching French and German.
