Youth Advisory Council 2025

Jemima (she/her) is a 23-year-old from the Southern Highlands in New South Wales – though you’ll often find her by the beach with her snorkel or in the bush on a hike! She is passionate about the outdoors and loves an adventure, having spent several years working in the outdoor education sector. Jemima loves playing soccer and enjoys practicing her skills before taking the field as a defender.

Jemima enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is passionate about mental health advocacy following her own journey, and her involvement in mental health safety planning for outdoor education programs. She has been involved with CanTeen, and several other volunteering opportunities and finds great value in raising awareness for wellbeing, advocating for mental health and increasing service and program accessibility.

Currently studying her Bachelor of Nursing, Jemima is excited to be involved in the Youth Advisory Council with Orygen and use her personal and professional knowledge to continue advocating for young people whilst collaborating with the amazing YAC team.
