Taeg Twist (any pronouns) is a proud Birri Gubba Birriah and Ngāpuhi 2Spirit from Waibene in the Zenadth Kes, working at the intersections of advocacy, arts, and health.

As the current LGBTI Practice Lead for Wellbeing at the Queensland Council for LGBTI Health, Taeg brings a person-centred and culturally grounded approach to supporting community. Their work champions the voices of Indigenous and LGBTQIA2S+ peoples, creating safer, more inclusive spaces that honour culture, identity, and collective care.

With a strong background in performance, creative facilitation, and systems change, Taeg has held national and international leadership roles, including as a Youth Delegate to the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. They are passionate about storytelling as a vehicle for healing and transformation, and bring sharp insight, warmth, and innovation to every table they sit at.

Taeg is committed to embedding community, Country, and culture into everything they do and creating space for others to do the same.
