    Professor Helen Herrman Elected as President of the World Psychiatric Association in Madrid

    In September at the World Psychiatric Congress in Madrid Professor Helen Herrman, Director of Research at Orygen, The National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health and also Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne was elected by a large majority to the Presidency of the World Psychiatric Association. She is the first Australian to be elected to this role.

    RocKwiz Goes Mental for youth mental health

    RocKwiz’s Julia Zemiro, Brian Nankervis, Dugald McAndrew and the RocKwiz Orkestra are primed to “go mental” for youth mental health at a special live RocKwiz spectacular “RocKwiz Goes Mental” at The Melbourne Town Hall Friday 3rd October. All proceeds from the night go to support Orygen.

    Thomson Reuters has released a list of the World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds for 2014 and Orygen is proud to see two of our staff, our Executive Director Prof Patrick McGorry AO and Prof Alison Yung recognised in the list, along with our close collaborator Prof Christos Pantelis.
