PROSPECT (Promoting sexual health in young people with mental ill-health)
The physical and sexual health of young people with mental ill-health is important, and a number of physical health interventions are available.
However, evidence-based approaches focused on promoting sexual health for young people living with mental ill-health don’t currently exist, despite young people with mental ill-health often having poorer sexual health than their peers.
To address this gap, Orygen has worked with young people, their carers, sexual health clinicians and mental health clinicians to co-design an intervention (a series of one-on-one education sessions) aimed at improving sexual wellbeing.
If you are aged 15-25, and receiving care from Orygen clinical services, you are invited to take part in the PROSPECT study, which will trial this intervention. Participants will be reimbursed for their time.
To register for the trial or to ask any questions please contact Hayley Nolan at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 0447 714 557.
