    Hats for Hope 2016

    Hats for Hope is an annual charity fundraiser that raises money for Orygen’s suicide prevention projects. This year the event was a sell-out and attracted over 250 people to the beautiful Mural Hall in Myer Melbourne. The fundraiser is the brainchild of Arlene Bennett, Michelle Stevens and Joanne Rae, three women who share a passion for ensuring that young people get to live long and healthy lives.

    Internship Program 2017

    Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health is very excited to invite a diverse group of enthusiastic young people 25 years and under to participate in a 12 week intern Program (2 days per week) attached to either the Policy team or Media & Communications team. Applicants must be aged 17-25 for the duration of the program (between March – June 2017) to participate in this intern program which is located in Parkville, Melbourne.

    This week marks Mental Health Week, a time to promote social and emotional wellbeing to the community, encouraging people to maximise their health potential, and a time to raise awareness around mental health recovery.     Cross cultural capacity training commences at Orygen

    As part of Orygen’s Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), the organisation committed to supporting the cultural development of staff by providing cross cultural capacity training.  Training has commenced and is  proving to be an overwhelmingly positve experience for those who have attended thus far.

    Summer Intern Program 2017

We are inviting applications from a diverse group of enthusiastic young people aged 17–25 (at the time of application) to participate in a four week Summer Intern Program (three days per week) at Orygen, The National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health in Parkville, Melbourne.

    James Marcon Fundraiser Lunch

    Tickets are now available for the James Marcon Fundraiser Lunch, being held at Red Spice. The Funds will go towards empowering youth who are affected by mental illness by giving them a positive outlet to express themselves through art therapy and education/vocation programs. The event includes lunch, drinks and an afternoon full of raffle prizes, door prizes, a live auction, guest speakers and much more.
